MELSADENT
Using high-technology CAD/CAM scanning and milling systems, patients can receive painless, maximally functional, and aesthetic treatments within just 1–2 hours—even with a busy schedule.
What Are the Advantages?
Thanks to a special intraoral camera that easily captures images inside the mouth, the tooth to be restored is digitally scanned and transferred to a computer. This eliminates uncomfortable procedures such as traditional impression materials that may cause gag reflex or allergic reactions.
The digital scan is transferred to the computer, and within 10–15 minutes, the restoration is designed with micron-level precision. A 3D printer then produces the selected porcelain restoration within 5–15 minutes without manual intervention. Although the total treatment time varies depending on the number of restorations, most treatments are completed in a single day—without the need for temporary teeth. All treatments are digitally archived, allowing the patient’s treatment history to be tracked.
Personalized smile design, porcelain veneers (laminate veneers), and full ceramic crowns are among the primary applications of CAD/CAM systems. Using digital impression technology in aesthetic procedures contributes to long-term gum health and ensures longer-lasting aesthetic results. Before any intervention is performed, digital scanning allows a smile design to be created so that both the patient and the dentist can preview the final outcome based on facial form, aesthetic criteria, and patient expectations. Detailed photography and video recordings are used during this planning stage. Treatment then proceeds according to the approved plan, delivering a fast transformation to a new smile.
Procedures in Digital Dentistry Are Performed Painlessly;
The relevant area is locally anesthetized, ensuring a pain-free experience. If any color mismatch is detected, it can be corrected within 5–7 minutes using special porcelain staining techniques.
Implant-Supported Prostheses Can Be Completed in a Single Session;
As with other restorative treatments, porcelain crowns placed on implants can be easily produced using CAD/CAM systems. Screw-retained porcelain restorations, which do not require cement cleaning, make the process more convenient for both patient and dentist.
Accurate Implant Placement with Digital Dentistry;
In addition to prosthetic applications, this system enables the preparation of surgical guides for implant surgery. Correct implant positioning in the bone is essential for optimal function and aesthetics. Surgical guides ensure precise and accurate placement.
Digital Dentistry Provides Orthodontic Treatment;
Thanks to digital dentistry, teeth misalignment in suitable patients can be corrected without brackets or wires. Custom clear aligners produced on the same day through intraoral scanning provide comfortable orthodontic treatment without affecting aesthetic appearance.
